Infinix Hot 8 Review

After releasing the Infinix Hot 7 and Hot 7 pro. On the 12th of September, Infinix introduced their new phone – Infinix Hot 8 – to the Infinix Hot series.

This phone doesn’t really have that much different comparisons with the Hot 7 and Hot 7 pro. So you shouldn’t expect much from this phone but with the little improved performance and new added features, it set this phone a little apart from the previous ‘’Hot” phones we only recommend this phone for people looking to move up from the previous Hot phones or for those who are not willing to spend much on a new phone.

Camera

As we’ve known before, Infinix are not the best producers of phone cameras but that doesn’t mean their Hot 8 won’t capture at it best. Better than the previous ‘’Hot’’ phones. But not better than the Hot 7 pro.
Though there are some better Infinix cameras, but the Hot 8 is built in with an 8 mega-pixels front(selfie) camera with LED flash.

And on the back, it has 13+2 mega-pixels cameras with a QVGA camera. The 13MP is for wide image capturing, while the second 2MP camera is designed to have a better in-depth image capturing. The QVGA is to better the capturing sensitivity in low light environment.
Enough of the camera stuff.

Display

The previous Hot 7 and Hot 7 pro are both designed with a wide-notch screen style. But on the Hot 8, Infinix has changed that. Infinix Hot 8 is now designed with the water-drop notch style. Giving the phone a new look and a wider screen for better entertainment experience.

With the 720 x 1600 pixels screen measuring about 83% of the overall look from the front body look, Hot 8 has a better screen than the Hot 7 pro.

Software

Infinix Hot 8 is available in different model options. Though no matter which model you choose, you’ll still enjoy the Android Software 9.0(pie) operating system. And they are both running on the XOS 5.0 Infinix software.

The first model of the Hot 8 comes with 2GB RAM + 32GB ROM storage and MediaTek MT6761 Helio A22 chipset.
While the second model uses 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM with Mediatek MT6762 Helio P22.

Both with GPU PowerVR GE8320 in the chipset.

Hardware

The higher non-removable battery capacity will make users experience the long lasting cell power of 5000mAh for daily usage.

The Dirac Sorround Sound is also included in the phone for the speakers and also for the users to experience the power of 3D sound for better entertainment.
